1. Last night, Real Salt Lake came to town to take on Sporting KC. This season, that is significant. We let go of a couple of our strikers, and they snapped them up. I miss getting to see Willy Agada play, but losing Johnny Russell was devastating. Johnny was our captain. He is one of those players who just knows where the ball will go and shows up for it. He was an inspiration. And they let him go. I’m so happy for him that he found another team, and he got a lot of cheers at the game last night (and from my house). But I am very sad that they let him go. I feel with all my heart that it was a mistake. So getting to see him play again, and seeing him score a point just made me so happy.

2. Friday at work, they brought in a food truck to feed us and set up a dunk tank for the supervisors. It wasn’t a real dunk tank, but there was a trigger that dumped a bucket of water on whoever was standing there. I didn’t throw any balls myself (it’s not really in my skill set), but I definitely stood there and watched as my supervisor got drenched several times. It make me very happy to watch that. They should do it more often.

3. Yesterday and today we finally had some rain, after days of 90 degree heat. The rain was so refreshing, and it cooled everything down a little. It was just what I needed.
