1. FIFA Club World Cup. I get to see some of my favorite European teams, some of my favorite players, right here in the U.S. I mean, I’m not at the games. There are too many people and it’s very hot. But I get to watch from my comfy, air-conditioned living room, and that’s even better.

2. We finally watched season 4 of Only Murders in the Building, and it was fantastic. I am constantly amazed at the details of the series. They do such a good job with all the story strands and all the other little details besides. If you haven’t watched it yet, I highly recommend.

3. As summer just officially started and we’ve already had multiple days of 90+ degree heat, with more to come, I am so grateful that my mother and my mother-in-law are in good places to live. They have people around to help them if needed, they are fed, they have air conditioning, and they don’t need to leave their buildings for any reason if they don’t want to. Well, doctor’s appointments aside, they don’t need to leave. They have everything they need at their fingertips, and if they don’t, they don’t hesitate to tell us so we can bring it to them. But they are safe and protected from bad weather, and not having to worry about them makes me happy.
