currently reading: I am reading Big Bad Wool, out Tuesday. I am loving this one. It’s about a herd of sheep who solve crimes, and it’s a lot of fun. Watch for this one in stores next week.

I’m also still reading The Influencers, about a family of influencers and how they respond after a family death. It’s bananas.

And I’m listening to Our Dear Miss H. Is on the Case. It is a hoot! It’s set in the same world as Lady Charlotte Gets Her Man, and this one brings another spirited women, smart and complicated. And chickens, which is new this time. It’s an anachronistic rom com with lots of spirit and playfulness.

I’m also reading Marble Hall Murder, the third book in Anthony Horowitz’s Susan Ryeland series. The first was Magpie Murders, the second Moonflower Murders, and now we have Marble Hall Murders. Susan Ryland is an editor known for editing the Atticus Pund novels for Alan Conway, who was not easy to work with. In the first book, she solved his murder. In the second book, she solved a murder based on one of his books. And in this one, her publisher has asked another writer to continue the Atticus Pund series, and he has asked Susan to edit it. All three of these books intertwine the contemporary mystery with the Atticus Pund novel, so it feels like reading two books in one. I loved these books, and the PBS series based on these novels are masterful. I recommend the books. I recommend the series. I am all in on all of it. Am I fangirling too much?

up next: Humorist and Florida Man Dave Barry wrote a memoir, and it’s coming soon. Watch for Class Clown if you’re a fan of his booger jokes, stories about exploding toilets, and love of bad songs.
